Nicholas qualified as a solicitor in 1983 and was a partner for over 20 years and one of the founders, from its origins in 1985, of Wollastons LLP (which merged with Birketts LLP). Nicholas headed the commercial property department at Wollastons until 2007.

Nicholas Cook is qualified, by examination and appointment, to hold the office of a Notary Public (via which he provides internationally recognised notarial legal services as a Public Notary).
