Effective from: 17th October 2025,

1. Purpose of this notice

This notice explains how www.notarypublic.co.uk (“we”, “our”, “us”) uses information that is already publicly available to create and maintain business listings on our website, in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

3. Lawful basis for processing

Our lawful basis for processing this information is Legitimate Interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR): to operate a notary directory that makes publicly available information about notary practices easier for the public to find and verify.

We have assessed that this use does not override the rights or freedoms of the data subjects, as the data is already publicly accessible and limited to professional or business context information.
